Back to hippy days. Made my skirt from old shorts I then added 5 inch squares. Cut the shorts below zip in the front and slightly higher on the sides. First row has two extra square. Second row 11/2 to each square on first row and third row is 2 square to each square in 2nd row. The next few rows have 2 extra square per row just gathered in. If you making one chose lighter fabric otherwise your skirt will be very heavy.
Knitted these while holed up at home feeling unwell and watching Wentworth the prison series. I have wanted to try knitting socks for ages but couldn’t find a pattern until I found this one on ravelry. I couldn’t get the correct wool novita which comes from Seeeden but only available in Europe. Nothing here in little old New Zealand. So I used an 8 ply and size 4 double pointed needles. I changed the pattern slightly and found it strange that some of the pattern referred you to YouTube. Pattern from here http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/anelmaiset
My daughter Mandy is expecting number two at the end of July. My eldest daughter Sally and I put together a baby shower. We were impressed with ourselves hahaha it came together ! Sally creatively made a baby in a bee outfit for the cake topping which came out even better than expected. Sally’s husband Steve made the cake and also made some fudge which we added to the bee hive boxes. Along with the embroidered serviette holders that are an embroidery design for lipgloss holders that I altered slightly sewing them on felt Lots of daisies pulled it all together.
Found this pattern in a Knit Simple book it was a bit fiddly to make but think it came out beautifully http://www.knitsimplemag.com/Back-Issues/holiday-2015 you can order a back copy here.
We have two little granddaughters and DH has made this adorable little dolls cot NOW we need another one. It is so cute and the first thing the granddaughters do is climb in themselves. I have made a embroidered/patchwork duvet and a mattress and sheet to match.
Husband made these many years ago they are metal pipe that he bent to make this entrance hall table. He also made the round table which we added a glass top. Recently he had them powder coated Yellow, my favourite colour.
So here I have made a tissue box cover made up of 4 sides plus a top piece. They are then joined together with a sewing machine. I used a thin batting with a cut away stabiliser and the material layer on top. I appliquéd the hearts on.
