I came across this cute little shop
The lady was so friendly and explained to us all about her weaving business.
So interesting as many years ago we did this weaving my sister in law Joyce and I. We had the guys make us frames and we patiently weaved and tied our wool. We made lots of baby blankets. Now this new concept is so much better and Sue teaches how to do it. Here is s link to her business.
Knitted these while holed up at home feeling unwell and watching Wentworth the prison series. I have wanted to try knitting socks for ages but couldn’t find a pattern until I found this one on ravelry. I couldn’t get the correct wool novita which comes from Seeeden but only available in Europe. Nothing here in little old New Zealand. So I used an 8 ply and size 4 double pointed needles. I changed the pattern slightly and found it strange that some of the pattern referred you to YouTube. Pattern from here http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/anelmaiset
Found this pattern in a Knit Simple book it was a bit fiddly to make but think it came out beautifully http://www.knitsimplemag.com/Back-Issues/holiday-2015 you can order a back copy here.
So excited our family is growing by one in July. My daughter Mandy is having a little girl so I have knitted these sleeping bags to keep baby cosy and warm.
